Fly Me to the Moon: Volume 8 – Story and Art by Kenjiro Hata

Nasa and Tsukasa decide to go on a honeymoon at a hot springs resort. Nasa tries to make plans for the two of them to spend time together and do more couple-like things. Every time there is a chance for the two of them to get close and intimate, these two are simply too shy for their own good. After the little honeymoon, they return home to continue their little life together. 

I had found this manga and immediately grabbed it. I ship Nasa and Tsukasa so much. They’re a cute and awkward couple that I really love. This manga is really sweet with some perverted stuff but it’s mostly warm hearting cuteness. The hot tub scene got me laughing and going aww with. Overall the author and artist did a really great job with this manga series and I’m hooked on this series.

Like You Love Me – Adriana Locke 

Romance, fiction. 

Holden is in need of a wife to look like he is starting a family for a job position he wants. Sophie needs 5k to save her Bed and Breakfast. When the two cross paths, he proposes an idea. Both of them get married for convenience for each other. He can pay the taxes for the B&B and she can be his wife. She agrees to the terms as long as he agrees to her terms as well. They immediately get married and the interviewer comes into town. He offers Holden a higher-up spot in the company. However, the mere thought of that breaks his heart because that would mean leaving Sophie. He has to make a decision to go with what his heart wants or what is right for him to do.

This was utterly adorable and so cute to read. I was hooked from the first to the last page. I loved the writing and the whole plot. The way that events unfolded was perfectly paced and there were a lot of raw emotions that I felt as I was reading this. I rooted for Holden and Sophie because they were perfect together. I hated that they were like not seeing the bigger picture and had to learn the hard way. I found myself smiling throughout reading this novel. Love happens in the most unusual and unexpected ways. I highly recommend this novel. Like go and find this book and read it.

Fly Me to the Moon Vol 4 – Kenjiro Hata

Nasa and Tsukasa return from touring the Kyoto area and getting to know his parents to find that his home got burned up. Now they have nowhere else to go, one of his friends offers a room at the place he is a regular. Throughout this, they find romance and make memories with each other. Nasa learns what it is like to treat his wife to things that she deserves. Their next adventure would be finding their own place to live at. 

Okay, this one was definitely cuter than the previous volume. They are so cute that one has to obviously ship the two. There are some pervy parts in this one but there is too much romance and fluff that it goes unnoticed. I’m so happy to have found this series and can’t wait for the rest to come out. I am 100% deeply invested in this manga series.

Nasa realizes that their home is small and sort of cramped. He wants to move to a bigger space but she is happily content. He convinces her that they can get a bigger space for the two and get more stuff that she likes. Now that she’s on board with that idea but points out that a new bigger home would be costly. Nasa knows who to go get help for a bigger place, his parents. In realizing this, he forgot to inform them that they got married. He wants the best for his wife and will do anything to prove that he loves her. 

I was struggling to find this manga volume. As one can tell, I am deeply invested in this series. There are a lot of cute and hilarious moments. Moments that made me go aww and cried cause it was so much fluff and romance. I’m so happy when I found this and I found the fourth volume as well. I sincerely recommend this manga series because there is a lot of cute fluff and moments that will make one’s heart melt. The artwork and dialogue are perfect and well done. Unfortunately there are only four volumes but this can be a way to catch up if there is more coming out later this year. I saw at Barnes & Nobles that there are four more coming out this year which is great news.

Fly Me to the Moon: Vol 2 – Kenjiro Hata

Nasa takes his new wife, Tsukasa, to the bathhouse since his living arrangements currently don’t have a shower or bath. They come back when her sister arrives and declares that she doesn’t approve of Nasa. Her sister kidnaps him and tries to ruin the relationship but he is loyal to Tsukasa. Tsukasa sees the loyalty and Nasa proposes to her, even though they are married. We follow them through their lives together. 

I was hunting down this series like a mad woman. I needed to read more and more of this. I want to know who and what Tsukasa is. There are some hints of possibly a being from the moon and or different planet. The artwork is splendid and the dialogue. I was laughing and going ‘aww’ throughout this volume. I highly recommend reading this manga series. This might take a while to complete but one hundred percent worth waiting.

Remember Me – Christopher Pike

Shari is living the best out of her teenage life as a senior with a month left until graduation. All that is taken away when she wakes up to finding out she is dead. Someone murdered her and she doesn’t want the world to see her as suicidal when it was homicide. She unravels her own murder as well as some shocking dark truth.

I had read this book so many times in middle school. I love this trope and can’t get tired of this trope. I had to reread this book once more as an adult to fully appreciate Pike’s writing style. This was nicely paced and the bread crumbs of information never felt too forced nor felt out of place. Everything pieced together as the plot continued. The characters are always interesting as well as the interactions with other characters. I will have to read the two other books in this series and review them because they deserve some love and attention. However, this book is hard to find because this novel is rather old, but I got my copy at thrift books. This was not sponsored but I recommend shopping at thrift books. I might do a review of the thrift books website knowing that I am not sponsored but the website is incredible.

Whisper Me a Love Song – Eku Takeshima

Himari is a high school freshman attending the school’s band performance when she listens to the lead singer sing. In that moment, she falls in love with the lead singer and goes to tell the lead singer about her feelings. Yuri, the lead singer of the band, can’t believe she wasn’t the only one. Both fell in love at first sight.

This manga shares how it is like to fall in love at first sight. Realistically speaking there are so many types of love and this manga gives insight of that. This was sweet, and I certainly loved the characters. The artwork is beautiful and unbelievably detailed. I would want to find more of the series because I am deeply invested.

Nasa was ashamed of his birthname and passionately believed that he will ensure everyone will remember him but not for space stuff. He gets into an accident with a vehicle after he was hit on foot. A mysterious woman appears to rescue him. He wants her to stay but she makes an offer he unknowingly jumps into, marriage. She disappears after he agrees. Time passes by and he hears a knock on his door. It is the mysterious woman wanting to get married.

This was sweet and bizarre, but I loved it. I had not expected to like this manga. I thought I was going to hate it but nonetheless, I love it. I reflect and wish I got the second book of the series. I am curious about what the mystery girl is. The artwork was beautiful, and the writing style was simple. I love this manga. I only wished it were longer. I plan to get more in this series.

Bring Me Back – B.A. Paris

Finn’s girlfriend, Layla went missing at a rest stop and twelve years later he told everyone she disappeared. He did not tell the entire truth. She is still out there lurking somewhere but has not been found. Finn moved on with his life and getting married to Layla’s sister, Ellen. One day they receive Russian dolls and they don’t think much of it. Later on this escalates to more Russian dolls and menacingly threatening letters. Finn reaches out to the person sending the dolls and threats only to find that sometimes the truth is unbelievable.

This novel was found in the 6$ section of a Barnes and Nobles. I was curious as to why such a good book is there. I honestly think this book should have been sold at full price and more popular because this was a good thriller suspense novel. I hadn’t expected the plot twist at all. To safely say, I wasn’t expecting this plot at all. The reader should find out the plot twist. The characters and their interactions greatly aided the plot. The creepy Russian dolls scared me though. I mean them being left with a note was really intense… Overall, great novel, highly recommend this.

Remember Me – Chelsea Bobulski

Nell had moved to the Winslow Grand Hotel and plans to stay due to her father’s new job. Nell was recovering from a traumatic experience and thinks her post traumatic stress disorder is causing her to see things happening in the hotel. Aurelea or Lea, for short, comes to the same hotel centuries before Nell to get married in an arranged marriage to get better financial stability.  Lea doesn’t like her husband to be and wishes to get out of this arranged marriage. Both Nell and Lea interact with this mysterious boy with a chilling history, his name is Alec. Alec first fell in love with Lea and somehow history is repeating itself. Alec finds out that there is a curse that was put on both where whenever iteration of Lea arrives at the hotel, she can’t ever leave after entering and Alec is stuck there permanently. Alec tells this to Lea and Lea is in disbelief. Until she remembers her past lives. They race to break the curse.

I found this novel at first slow and boring but then the plot thickened deeply. I enjoyed reading this young adult novel. Sometimes YA novels are good or bad, this one was good. The alternating perspectives between the past version and the present version is something I hadn’t read before. Bobulski made the form work with the plot and made the story more sinister in the end.
