Fly Me to the Moon: Vol 2 – Kenjiro Hata

Contemporary, romance, manga, older teens, fiction.

Rating 9/10

Nasa takes his new wife, Tsukasa, to the bathhouse since his living arrangements currently don’t have a shower or bath. They come back when her sister arrives and declares that she doesn’t approve of Nasa. Her sister kidnaps him and tries to ruin the relationship but he is loyal to Tsukasa. Tsukasa sees the loyalty and Nasa proposes to her, even though they are married. We follow them through their lives together.

I was hunting down this series like a mad woman. I needed to read more and more of this. I want to know who and what Tsukasa is. There are some hints of possibly a being from the moon and or different planet. The artwork is splendid and the dialogue. I was laughing and going ‘aww’ throughout this volume. I highly recommend reading this manga series. This might take a while to complete but one hundred percent worth waiting.

Rhen doesn’t want any of that. Lia decides into her own hands that led to her to becoming her mother’s pawn. Rhen finds Grey and confronts him about the heir. Grey is the heir but Rhen doesn’t know. The manhunt becomes benevolent.

I wasn’t fully into the second installment of the trilogy. The writing is amazing, and organization of the different narratives helped build the world in making this world easier to understand. The new characters in this story were interesting and this revealed a lot more than the first book of the magical world. I should say not fully invested as I was with the first book. For those who have read the first book would be into the second book. Someone let me know if the third is good or comment below if I should continue. Convince me in other words without spoiling. I see this series all over TikTok and so many others. For those who are into the first book and are deeply invested in the series then this book is for those who are into it. I just personally am good with having the first book as a standalone because the second book was all over the place for me personally.

they call themselves the guardians of the galaxy lol

Aurora Burning: Aurora Cycle 2 – Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Temporarily stranded on a planet, Squad 312, are in hiding from everyone that is their enemies. Not only that but an ancient evil is about to unleash terror on the galaxy, and they must save the galaxy. However, they have several errands to run such as finding the ship Aurora came from and its black box to unveil the truth of the ship’s intentions. Along the way, more and more eerie messages and codes appear that was predicted of their path. Each of the crew got a gift that coordinates with each of them. Each contains as well as a revelation Up until they prepare and brace themselves to face the big evil. Squad gives it their all.

I had waited for a while for this sequel. I loved this so much and wanted to reread it. It is so good, and I hate the fact it was left as a cliff hanger. I do hope for more, however. The storytelling is amazing, and the organization of the chapters is perfectly designed. I love reading other perspectives of one narrative but only when its organized. This was cleanly organized. I do recommend this book and the first one as well. It does have a Guardians of the Galaxy vibes but with a younger crew and more jokes. This is worth reading for sure. I had waited forever for this and glad I had waited. I would not mind waiting for the next possible book in this series or probably venture out to find other books of these authors because their writing style is interesting, and I like the format.

a deadly BITE

Interview with the Vixen: Archie Horror Book 2 – Rebecca Barrow

Archie comics, fiction, horror, young adult.

Rating 6/10

Veronica comes home from cheer practice and wants to inform her parents of her evening plans. She finds them dead in her father’s office and a looming dark figure threatening her. She tries to escape but only escapes with a terrifying bite from the vampire monster. She gets into a car accident with another vehicle and later wakes up completely healed as if nothing happened. Except she sees herself with blood red eyes and sharp fangs. She has somehow become a vampire from the bite. Veronica asks help from Dilton Doiley to find a way to become human again which is finding the sire and properly getting rid of him. In an attempt to do so, Archie is caught in the crossfire and is captured by the vampire’s henchmen, which are her parents. They are under his control. Both have to go back and regroup plans. Meanwhile Reggie Mantle is the other car that Veronica crashed into and he wakes up to find himself changed into a vampire. He goes to try to find Veronica to get answers. When he does, she tells him he will tell her as much as she could but they had to first go get help from Betty to try to figure out what is going on with the vampire who has control of her parents. Veronica successfully rescues Archie from the clutches of the vampires with the aided help of Betty. The trio with Dilton and Cheryl formulate a plan to save Riverdale.

I thought this novel was going to be better than I had expected but it was not that bad. Not entirely good either. I do not have issues with the storyline. I was expecting a lot more but it’s all right. I preferred the other book in the Archie Horror universe. I like werewolves over vampires personally. However, Archie is always no matter what iteration he is in, he is always promiscuous no matter what as well as always indecisive over who he wants to be with either Betty or Veronica.

very interesting…

The Time of Contempt: A Novel of the Witcher, Book 2 – Andrzej Sapkowski

Fantasy, video games, Netflix, fiction.

Rating 8/10

Geralt must protect Ciri until she can gain the control of her powers as well as her destiny for greatness. However, there are trouble at the Wizard’s Guild, someone wants to overthrow the guild and Triss must decide upon her life and her future. She is also enlisted to protect Ciri as well. The relative calm is destroyed by chaos overthrown by an unknown enemy.

I found this novel to be intriguing and interesting. However, the chapters are insanely long and bores me to death on the lengthiness. The chapters can be easily divided into smaller chapters and the story line would still make sense. Why does the chapters have to be so long? I would never understand nor want to understand because that is the author’s purpose. It’s the genre but I’ve read fantasy novels with much shorter chapters. Overall, I did enjoy the book besides the lengthy chapters. I won’t let that get to me much. I can’t get over with the interactions between the Witcher and Triss. Ciri is becoming dangerous kind of scares me since she is only a teenager.

Teens Return to Save Disney AGAIN!

Kingdom Keepers 2: Disney at Dawn – Ridley Pearson

Disney, Disney World, children, fiction.

Rating 9/10

Just as Finn and the other teens thought that after rescuing Disney World and the saved the world, they can relax a little. When Chernabog/Lucifer doesn’t appear on the celebration float. The park attendant, Wayne, tells them the evil returned into a new form. This brings on panic and the five teenagers urge to fight the evil from overtaking the park and the world. Everything is at stake, once again.

As I had finished the first book, I immediately began this sequel to the novel and fell more in love with the idea of teenagers fighting Disney villains and saving the world from evil. I simply couldn’t stop reading this novel and eventually finished the novel in no time. I do recommend the first book of this series and this one as well.
