Within Mare’s world, people are divided by the color of their blood. Reds and Silvers. Reds are the working and merchant class whereas silvers are royalty with powers. She must play her part or suffer the consequences. She slowly learns to trust no one.
I loved this novel and wished it was longer. This was trending on my Instagram and was wondering what’s the deal? I bought it and was surprised and grateful to have read this novel. It has a slow beginning but nonetheless I loved this young adult novel. This novel doesn’t compare to other science fiction young adult books I’ve read. I love the whole idea of this novel but there could’ve been some adjustments. More explanation of the world that Mare was living in and focus in more of how there is a separation between the Reds and Silvers. Maybe the sequel to the book would explain that. Overall, I understand why this book was trending.
