Don’t Play God

Eeny Meeny – M.J. Arlidge

Mystery, thrilling, fiction.

Rating 8/10

Detective Inspector Helen comes across one crime scene that had been kidnappings and only one victim survived to tell their tale. The dark twist is that they committed the murder of the other due to a decision. As more of these types of crimes happen, all seem familiar to Helen. As Helen is facing her own demons, everything is at risk to save more lives and to catch this murderer mastermind. When she does, the truth is ugly and darker than she had thought.

I really had enjoyed this mystery thriller. The narrative was incredible, and the story line was deeply thought into. There was a great slow build up to the climax. The idea of the victims choosing who will live and who will die is intense. and I felt exhilarated from reading this novel. I couldn’t put this book down. Sadly, there was some problems with the writing mechanics such as there were a few spelling errors and grammar issues. Overall, I quite enjoyed this novel. I do and would recommend this novel for sure.
